Rory McGuire

Rory McGuire joined ZRA as a senior associate in February 2016. Mr. McGuire provides strategic oversight in leading ZRA support for a number of long-running federal cybersecurity initiatives in areas like malware reverse engineering, secure cloud transitions, strategy development, technology transformation, tool development, and risk-informed approaches to cybersecurity. His work focuses on ensuring that technical development activities directly support mission and leadership objectives and meet appropriate metrics for success.
Prior to joining ZRA, Mr. McGuire worked as a program assistant at the Elliott School of International Affairs. Mr. McGuire interned with a risk & security consulting firm in 2015, focusing on enterprise risk management. Previously, he spent time supporting a contract for security monitoring and analysis focused on northern Iraq, as well as interning with the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. Mr. McGuire also has previous professional experience in the non-profit and marketing sectors.
Mr. McGuire received his BA in 2009 from Vanderbilt University with a major in communications studies. He graduated in 2015 from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University with an MA in Security Policy Studies.
